We went here because it was close tonour hotel, but what a great choice!
The atmosphere is great - you can eat outdoors in the evening. It's away from the main roads so it is quieter. My partner and I could have a conversation at regular talking volume.
The staff were very friendly and could speak Italian and English. Attentive but we could enjoy ourselves.
Food was wonderful and seasonal. It was the best that we had in Roma during our trip.
5/5 would go back again when we visit Roma the next time.
best meal we had in Rome! Great balance on multi-layers of flavors, textures, wet and dry. Good price for the quality of food! Good local wine too! Very fresh ingredients. Not so busy if you visit on week days.
We chose this place for its name, even knowing that puntarelle are out of season, and nothing about the food or atmosphere was in any way a disappointment. The food is modern Italian, for example a cacio pepe that also included a subtle pear flavor -- delicious. We also enjoyed a wonderful cheese ravioli, a perfect salmon, and a terrific pasta with sea urchin and cocoa. For an American family with children, we were greeted with a warning about the menu, which is sophisticated and not typically child friendly, which we appreciated. We were given a terrific patio seat at the beginning of lunch. We had trouble getting specific advice and recommendations in English about food and wine, but we were able to order well nevertheless and enjoyed being in a less touristy and very gourmet spot. Highly recommended.
Best Carbonara I’ve ever had! This review is going back to August, but better late than never… As Englishmen tend to do we were rather early in arriving for dinner. So early in fact that the restaurant wasn’t even open. But eventually we sat down, and three hours later we finally left, being the last to leave, having also been the first to arrive. The group all agreed at the time that this was one of the best evening meals we had ever had. And the restaurant had a lot to do with that. Starters, mains, desserts and wine. All brilliant. 5 stars!
Chanced upon this restaurant and had the best meal in Rome, so good that we came the next following day! everything was fabulous from start to finish, and service was great. Definitely will come again if in Rome - it’s a must try!
We had an amazing experience in this restaurant. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and the staff provided excellent suggestions. We had the lamb and it was excellent.
We enjoyed our lunch very much. They advised us which wine fitted with our choice. We shared a lot of starters and the special (tuna) of the day. It is really good!
So we came here for our first Roman meal. So many lovely menu options it was hard to decide! The staff, whose English was very good, helped with recommendations. Everything tasted divine and was beautifully presented. Tucked away in a beautiful back street away from tourists.
